KMS Woodworks on Aug 13, 2013Crystal should never be washed in a dishwasher...the temp swings are bad and well as the harsh detergent. Some folks have had luck using vinegar, or a CLR type cleaner.Helpful Reply

Karla Loftiss on Aug 13, 2013I think you can hand wash them with regular dish soap. And add a little bit of household ammonia to really make them sparkle. I believe that is what they did at a flower shop I worked at when I was a teenager.Helpful Reply

Emma Santoro-Adkison on Aug 13, 2013I tried hand washing to no avail. I soaked them in white vinegar. It seems to have made them worse. I'll give it one more try. They are beautiful & for the price 3/$1.00 I couldn't pass it up especially when I tinged them. Beautiful. Thank you.Helpful Reply

Lee on Jun 14, 2015It could be the glasses were put in the dishwasher and were etched by the dishwasher detergent. this is permeant. How about trying some of the glass paints and paint a design? with the cloudy glass as part of the design? Have fun and let us know what happens.Helpful Reply

Jill on Jun 18, 2015If they haven't been etched, as a previous poster indicated, you can make a baking soda and water paste and gently scrub the gunk off.Helpful Reply
