Emily on Aug 16, 2016I don't really know but my guess is that it is simply a nice comfortable outside lounge. Someone did a nice job on the reupholstery but it probably cost more than the chair is worth.Helpful Reply

Mary on Aug 17, 2016It looks similar to a chaise that I had back in the 1950's, but mine had webbing instead of a solid fabric.Helpful Reply

Dianne on Aug 18, 2016I have two frames in my basement! No covers, as they have rotted off. They were green canvas and fit exactly over the whole frame. Very comfortable, tilt back and enjoy your comfort. I loved those but I can't remember the name of them. I bought them at an auction in 1969. At one time I got replacement covers for them. It is so hot here, sitting out in the summer is no fun for me any more.Helpful Reply

Dennis King on Aug 20, 2016Those used to be marketed as a "Barwa", forerunner of a zero Gravity lounger, you'd get in when it was upright, then a slight shift and with would tip back - very comfortable - from the 50's!Helpful Reply
