Painting a sofa

I've seen several posts of chairs and even a love seat that was painted. Has anyone tackled a sofa? And if so, the results. Was it comfortable to sit on. Will wear well and last? I'm giving thought to trying it on mine. Also restuffing it.

Possibly paint it??

I painted my Harvest Gold colored brocade love seat with chalk paint. It has been just about a year now and it is holding up extremely well. The fabric is not stiff at all and I have gotten tons of compliments on it.
