So I have been dying to ask you this, can you still eat it after you have painted it? I couldn't find that anywhere in your blog. How long do they last like this?

So funny I was asked that same question a few times. I never really considered eating the spray painted one. I suppose one could as the rind of a pineapple is so thick, however, I would err on the side of caution & not. I suggest this: Cut the painted one in half including the pretty top; hollow it out & add cubes of pineapple from an unpainted one. This way you can use the blingy one to serve as well as just display. It lasted at least two weeks in my fridge. I painted it for the post, assuming my neighbors were moving in a few days later when I knew the other folks were moving out. Well the new people had painting done so didn't move in for 10 more days! I kept checking on the pineapple, thinking I would just spray a new one, but it looked & felt perfect. Thanks so much for your comment & question! Have a great day! Kelly
