Lagree Wyndham on Aug 18, 2016how about a small cooler table, to sit by you chair, for the porch or patio, just big enough for a few bottles of beer or a bottle of wine.Helpful Reply

Heather R Davis on Aug 18, 2016I was thinking the same thing. A cooler would be really useful. Also you could put a small fire feature in it, with the glass pieces.. Either way, it has possibilities!! Good find!!Helpful Reply

Elaine on Aug 18, 2016I agree with Lagree and Heather (above) but also ... if you find a metal container that fits inside, it could also then be used as an ice bucket/holder duo.Helpful Reply

Phyllisrbc on Aug 18, 2016I could see it hanging upside down, either by the legs or chains, depending on how tall it is...then add all the other creative ideas suggested above. Also maybe stencil or stamp it. Ivy stamps can blend well with real ivy.Helpful Reply

Nelly Hennessy on Aug 18, 2016Singer is the brand of a very well known sewing machine . In the 30s, my mother learned to sew, however it was made of wood. I would suggest to spray it with a bright color, put a piece a glass on top, paint the word Singer gold, and voila! You have a unique table. Singer sewing machines were black with gold decals. This table seem to have been made by a crafter, how about decal s around the top Frame and then put the glass on top.Helpful Reply

Rita Reece Law on Aug 18, 2016This could have been the base of another piece of machinery. Being heavy metal, it was probably in a factory for sewing or other manufacturing. The 4 holes on top were used to fasten the machinery on top of the table. I could see it spray painted, color of your choice and a finished top of fine wood or marble!?!Helpful Reply

Faith Amadio on Aug 20, 2016How about a checkers or chess table? Cut wood to fit the top, paint in the game board of your choice, use some fancy little knobs in the corners, put a pretty box on the bottom shelf to use for a book of rules and for the game pieces while they're in play.Helpful Reply

Janell on Aug 20, 2016I'd clean it up really well and paint it with a pretty high gloss paint. Find a square piece of clear glass suitable for a table top (thick with smooth edges). Glue pictures you love face down onto the glass top. Turn glass over so you can see pictures and place onto table top. Tip: pictures applied at different angles make it more interesting. Glue glass or tape (using specialized tape) onto base pictures up. Tip: don't glue entirely around perimeter in case glass breaks, its easier to get off that way. If glass is thick enough you may not need to glue to base at all. Since the center of base is open you may want to cut a piece of backing to cover backside of pictures that are exposed in center cutout before placing onto base. Just make sure the pictures overlap so there are to cracks or openings when you turn it picture side up. Will make a really cute conversation piece. Use it as an accent table, put a lamp on it, etc.Helpful Reply

HappyCamper11 on Oct 06, 2016I love the idea of a chess or checker table. I personally would do that. Or....... get some wood pieces. Paint them white and sand the edges for a distressed or an antiqued look. Glue the wood together coat it with a finish or glaze and put it on top. Then add cute old lantern and a skeleton key and you are good to go!Helpful Reply
