I use kitchen scraps all the time in my compost pile, but for today, I am concentrating on using kitchen left overs to actually grow new food.
Some veggies are very easy to re-grow and others take a bit more time and TLC.

Have you ever tried to grow new food from kitchen scraps?
Celery is one of the easiest vegetables to grow. Just keep the entire bottom intact and it will sprout more growth.
Pineapples do best if the top is dried out. Mine took a few weeks to develop some roots and then turned into a very lush plant in a few months.
Never buy spring onions again. I saw this tip originally on the Food Network. It really does work. Just put the whole bunch in a glass of water and cut off what you need of the green...more will grow. See more tips on re-growing food from kitchen scraps on my blog.
