Acrylic Paint on My Carpet
So my kids decided (while I was at work and they were in the care of an unsuspecting babysitter) to go find the acrylic paint and do "arts and crafts". Of course, they made a MESS and got acrylic paint all over the carpet in the play room!! The carpet is tan, and the paint, of course is black! By the time I got home the paint was completely dry, and hard.
Can this be cleaned, or do I need to start saving to replace the carpet?

Angela on Aug 22, 2013Try soaking the paint in rubbing alcohol and let it sit for a while. You should be able to scrap it off after it soaks. On other idea I have is to use nail polish remover. Test in an inconspicuous area first to make sure the nail polish won't damage the carpet further. Saturate the paint spots and let it sit for a few minutes and then gently scrape. Good luck!Helpful Reply
