Chalk paint works great on fabric furniture . You want to thin it a bit so the fabric on your furniture isn't stiff. Pinterest has recipes for making your own chalp paint.
I agree with the others that Chalk Paint is the way to go. However, I recommend that you try it first on a smaller project first just to get the hang of it and to be sure you like the finish. Perhaps a pillow in a similar fabric. Good luck and be sure to take before and after photos!
