I use storage ottomans, they look great and adds extra seating. I also use cubbies with the baskets. With these storage ideas toys are out of sight & out of mind and makes for easy and fast clean up. Hope these ideas help you.

Rotate the toys. Don't bring them out at once. Store (out of sight)half of the inventory. When kids get bored store the first group away and bring out the (new) stored ones. Before any toy buying occasion (i.e. Christmas, birthdays) store away toys (or donate with the kids approval)in preparation for the new stock. You'll save a ton of money, the kids will be happy with their "new" stuff and the toys stay in better shape overall.

Thanks to all for the help and the great ideas. I bought one big laundry basket with a lot of on its sides and my daughters can see what is inside. :)

Our biggest problem is stuffed animals. I recently got a child sized bean bag cover (with out the bean bag) and keep all the stuffed animals in there. now when they aren't playing with them they are all contained and useful as a chair, and when they do want them they can open the zipper and pull out the ones they want. for all other toys I am very careful to donate any duplicate toys we have. I also put in a closet about half the toys we own and rotate them about every two weeks or so. that way the kids always feel like their toys are new and exciting.

You can put up a couple shelves in the kids' room and put toys they love to "have" but not play with on it. My kids have a couple stuffies each in their beds but don't play with the others, and yet can't part with them yet. They now sit on shelves and watch over the kids to keep bad dreams away. 2 birds with one stone :)
