I'd like to cut my own wood for projects but can't. (No equipment, space or knowledge). Where could I go to get cuts done?

If you purchase the wood from Home Depot they should have a wood cutting station there.

If you do choose to have your wood cut at a big box store tell them to cut one sheet at a time AND stay to watch them cut it. Additionally, ask when the blade was last changed AND know that they do not switch blades to make fine cuts! I learned the hard way as I received raggedy torn, splintered edges on most of my cuts aND uneven sections. Now, I specify clearly what I want and tell them I will wait while they cut to make sure. I now am the proud owner of my own saws! Best wishes for success! Cheryl

If you buy your wood at Lowe's or Home Depot they will cut it for you.

•Any decent hardware shop will cut wood for you...once upon a time they didn't charge if you bought from them & gave instructions on what you wanted cut; but if they do it (charge) then it Should not be expensive. M®

I agree, if buying at one of the big chains, like Home Depot, Lowe's or Menard's, they should cut the wood at no additional charge if you take the whole piece and have it cut. Sometimes they have a spot you can cut it yourself at those stores.
