C on Aug 31, 2016When I couldn't find cushions the right size and shape, I went to Walmart, bought fabric and recovered my old ones. Worked great at a fraction of the price of new cushions1 marked as helpful Reply

Donna C. on Aug 31, 2016I am having the same problems. I have looked everywhere and I mean everywhere. Have you thought about making covers. I cannot sew so I am going to buy sheets or cloth shower curtains to cover my cushions. I think I will cut enough fabric and tie the fabric into a knot in the back of the cushion or use grommets and then tie them together. Good luckHelpful Reply

White Oak Studio Designs on Aug 31, 2016No matter what you decide you will want to make sure you get outdoor/fabric/or cuchions. I had a frend pay to have some chairs recovered but did not use outdoor fabric and she basically threw her money away. I got some at The Home Depot on fall clearance. Scour Wallmarts, and thebig box stores right now as summer items are going on clearance.Helpful Reply

Emily on Aug 31, 2016My situation is not like yours as my chairs are on a roofed in screen porch, but we do live in Maine and while covered these chairs are on the porch year round. Mostly I post this to advise thinking outside the box in making your cushions serviceable and attractive. I needed (badly) new cushion covers. I can sew but at over 80 did not feel up to it. I solved the problem by buying at a surplus store, 4 small fleece blankets for $2 each. I wrapped each cushion in the blanket and just loosely sewed them closed by hand. These were done two years ago and are still holding up fine.2 marked as helpful Reply

Sheri N on Aug 31, 2016Hi Cheryl! I've got the same furniture here and we had the exact same problem with the material! We have the dining table with the six chairs, the chaise lounge, the loveseat and two side chairs. What we did was get two of the largest painters drop clothes, 9 x 15, in the heavy weight material and just put the cushions on the drop cloth and cut it to fit like your wrapping a package. We then used white duck tape and taped the folds down. So far we've had them stay on for the whole summer and they're doing fine! It cost us a little over $30.00 to do everything except the chaise. Since we had no luck finding replacement cushions for ours, I'm sticking to this. AND I will never buy anything with Martha Stewart on the label again!Helpful Reply

We28518635 on Aug 31, 2016My cushions were ripped apart by raccoons I took off the old covers and bought new fabric to sew new ones; if you don*t sew use fabric glue. Using regular fabric costs less than outdoor you just have to take the cushions in when bad weather is predicted. BTW I keep ammonia rags in a small bowl to deter the coons now.!!Helpful Reply

Linda Nadbrzuch on Aug 31, 2016You can use any piece of fabric that is washable and either duct tape them on the bottom side or use self-stick velcro to hold them together. Cut your material by laying the cushion on top of the material then gently folding the cushion over so that it would cover two sides of the seat. Add enough material to cover the depth of the cushion all the way around then cut to size. Make sure that you have enough to wrap the cushion before you cut it. Then either tape or velcro it together.1 marked as helpful Reply

Sharyn on Aug 31, 2016I covered mine with oilcloth and used duck tape to secure on the back. Simply a matter of folding and taping plus I can change the color scheme anytime. Water proof and simply wipe off.Helpful Reply

Veronica Davenport on Aug 31, 2016Can't help with the remaking of the pillows, but I do have an idea: We have lots of patio furniture and our lawn maintenance company( at my age, I only do flowers and accessories, NO lawn care) was in charge of shoving everything into my potting shed or cabana. Couldn't get into either one of them for months at a time. So I bought some good quality patio furniture covers and my hubby and I placed them and covered them. Oh, and then I put the cushions in those vac-out-the-air jumbo storage bags and put them in the loft.Helpful Reply

Esh7699074 on Aug 31, 2016This will only work for cushions that are against the back or seat, but I buy fabric, cut a large square of it, and "giftwrap" my cushions. I secure the back side with large safety pins, so next year, these are easy to change. Throw pillows will have to be sewn, because the safety pins would show.Helpful Reply

Loretta Elbel on Aug 31, 2016If you sew, I suggest a great fabric website https://www.fabricguru.com/ You can find outdoor fabric from $4 to mostly $9 per yard. Of course, Sunbrella and other premium brands are more expensive. Sign up for an account and get emails announcing their 25%, 50% , 75% off sales. Be flexible and consider mixing patterns if the remnants are too small .Helpful Reply

Tanya on Aug 31, 2016If the foam or inner cushion material is good, and you don't have furniture upholsterers near you, I would think you could take this in to a tailor and have them reupholster it by cutting the outer material loose to use for a pattern. Another place that might consider doing the same thing is a tent restorer. I know they'll restore the canvas on your camp chairs, if the chair wasn't riveted its construction.Helpful Reply

Sonia Burrows on Aug 31, 2016I had the same problem with odd shaped cushions. What I did was remove the fabric from the cushions to create a template or pattern. I purchased outdoor fabric from fabric.com and even got it on clearance so that really helped. I sewed new covers using the old covers as a pattern. I first tried it out using cheap muslin to make sure it would work and it did. I'm not an experienced sewer, but I can sew a straight line and I've very pleased with how it turned out.Helpful Reply

Carol on Sep 01, 2016I agree with Loretta, Fabric Guru is a great place to purchase fabric and there is always a sale going on there. If you sew, you should have no problem making new cushions. Take the old cushions apart to use as pattern and re-use the stuffing. The upper backs of your chairs are pretty and I see no reason why your cushions couldn't be lower (more square) to show off the decorative part of the chairs. This would serve to simplify the making of the covers as well. Perhaps you have a friend who sews and would be willing to take on this project. Keep the old covers to use for subsequent covers when the new ones wear out.Helpful Reply

CK on Sep 04, 2016If you can sew, you can recover these quite easily. If I was there, I'd offer to do it for you. :-) (I'm in ND. The original cushions of the used set we bought looked just like yours...very worn from the elements. I recovered them.) Hope you can find someone to help you.Helpful Reply

Dolores DeLuise on Nov 11, 2016Great question; I have the same one!! The color of your cushions melts into the color of your patio. You may be happier with a stronger hue, maybe in the pink family or a print. My question is that my cushions have piping, and that seems complicated; I'm a basic sewer.Helpful Reply
