My top tips plus 12 ideas for organizing your kitchen
Just in case your like me and don't want to look up sites, I'll tell you how I did my kitchen. First cabinets over dishwasher hold dishes and glasses. Since I'm short top shelf holds items I use during holidays. Second I have a corner shelf with lazy Susan on top it has 2 shelves that's where my slices are. It doesn't matter if you have a corner shelf or not the point is that I then have it close to stove. I have this small cabinet that holds my oils. Over microwave which is over stove I have nothing mine holds the venting stuff. Next I have my coffee station. My upper cabinet holds all things related to coffee and tea plus mugs. Counter hold coffee maker and ninja blender for various things ,of course cold coffee drinks. I have a wall pantry on each shelf is organized by country. Latino stuff, Italian, cereals which include oatmeal, pancake mixes and syrup plus protein bars. Next upper cabinets over pantry I have large party items. Next upper cabinets hold more party items and glasses that my adult kids collect from various brewery they visit. Then it's my fridge.
Bottom cabinets by dishwasher I invested in a garbage recycling pullout to make life easier and drawer above is junk drawer. Next is a small cabinet that holds baking sheets as well as cooling racks. Under my sink which is next to dishwasher I keep garbage bags and at grocery store I ask for some paper bags for recycling bin it's a perfect fit. Then very few cleaning items, plus some glass bottles from pasta sauce for collecting grease so I don't clog pipes. Next is the thorn in my side corner cabinet that holds everything we don't use often but come in handy. Ricer for mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes for holidays only stuff like that a special strainer for stock making. Under coffee station are pots used daily. OK so after pantry lower cabinets one holds all flours and sugar for baking. Next to that one I have one that holds my kitchen aide mixer and my crock pot not much else fits except lettuce spinner. Then it's my fridge. It's not a large kitchen I could have opted for a large counter in the eat in area for more storage but I preferred to scale down and keep only what we use. It's great knowing exactly where things are. Oh I forgot to mention drawers over bottom cabinet under coffee station holds knives and sharp items. The one over baking well has baking items and the other one has cutlery. OK so basically just have stations so things are close to where they are often used. And declutter. You will feel great and less stressful when you can easily find items and you cook quicker.
