Is That a Man or a Billy Goat?
So anyway, back to the man on my roof. He’s a young guy, probably in his late 20s or early 30s and nice enough — my point being that he doesn’t look the least bit crazy or ill in the head. But when I looked out the window to see how progress was going he was simply sitting cross-legged at the edge of our roof over a 30-foot drop acting like he was part billy goat, part meditating monk.
This leads me to a few questions: How long must one work at a job like this to be so at ease on the edge of a roof? How much does a decent insurance policy cost for guys like this? And better yet, can he come back in a few month and hang our Christmas lights?
Has anyone at Hometalk used the Leaf Slugger? If so, how did it fare for you?

KMS Woodworks on Aug 27, 2013It is not so much a "learned" thing but something that Seems more "hard coded" intro ones mind set. I started rock climbing when I was 14. I have always felt OK when near edges and high places. Others I know have never gotten over their "fears" or uneasiness. Since I'm now into my 50's I may not be as bold as I used to be... and I have lost a little bit of the spring in my step, I can still get out and do stuff that might freak out others.Helpful Reply
