DIY Rustic Wedding Accessories

Over the weekend we celebrated my oldest daughter's wedding. Her reception was quite rustic and I made all of the decorations for it. She didn't want too much fluff so I was limited....dang! But I was able to get a few fun things in. Luckily I have another daughter getting married in October!
I picked up an old suitcase from an antique store in very rough shape and fixed it up with new fabric and vinyl.
I purchased an unfinished wood box from the craft store and used wood burning and paint to finish it off.
The sign were simply made by stencil painting onto wood plaques. Two holes were drilled into the tops to weave the ribbon through for hanging.
My husband cut birch logs into small sections for me and cut them flat on the bottom with a slit in the top for photos. I woodburned designs on the sides and the date of their ceremony on the front and back.
I used the blank side of vintage blocks to create my own letters to spell out their last name. I first stenciled the letters, then wood burned the outline and finally painted the inside.
