How to Make a "fabulous" Lamp With @hometalk and @lampsplus

Easy
Here's an easy way to take a standard (albeit, wonderful) lamp and elevate it to "Fabulous" status...
1. Bling out the lamp shade.
I used gems that come on a roll (found in the wedding section of craft stores) and applied it to the lamp shade with just a spot of hot glue in places.
I added a strip of glitter tape on the edge.
And then cut the part of the gem roll that was overhang in strips to create a fringe.
---fabulous lamp shade!
2. Fill your clear lamp.
My lamp is inspired by New Years Eve (hence the blinged out lamp shade) and the first thing I think of when I think of New Years Eve is numbers!
I used glitter cardstock to cut out numbers in various sizes.
Scrapbooking numbers placed on cardstock squares were placed inside the lamp.
Best of all, a small vintage frame was embellished with the glittered numbers 2013.
---fabulous lamp base!
