Holiday Design Challenge With Hometalk and Lamps Plus

I was just over the moon when I was asked to decorate the Fillable Clear Glass Ovo Table Lamp from Lamps Plus for the Holiday Design Challenge that Hometalk and Lamps Plus were putting on. I might have gotten a little carried away, but I had so much fun. So much fun, in fact, that my vignette ended up growing based on my theme: Christmas at the Cabin in the Wintry Woods. It was really quite simple to do...oh, and did I mention fun? Of course. http://www.hometalk.com/channel http://www.hometalk.com/lampsplus

To fill the lamp, unscrew the wing nut on the bottom and fill with your pretties. I filled mine with Christmas greenery and snow. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/2013/08/christmas-at-cabin-in-wintry-woods.html
To give the illusion of it snowing inside the lamp, after everything was in place and the bottom was reattached, I turned the lamp upside down. Similar to a snow globe. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/2013/08/christmas-at-cabin-in-wintry-woods.html
I love how the light comes through the lamp. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/2013/08/christmas-at-cabin-in-wintry-woods.html

To decorate the shade, I used a burlap ribbon tied in a bow with a pinecone ribbon layered on top. Next, I placed a burlap poinsettia and secured it in the knot of the bow. http://thededicatedhouse.blogspot.com/2013/08/christmas-at-cabin-in-wintry-woods.html
