Kim Humber on Sep 06, 2016This type of decking is not meant to be painted and would likely just peel back off. I would check the manufacturer's website and contact them. If you do paint, be sure to follow their recommendations in regards to primers. The upright vinyl posts can probably be painting by using a paint recommended for vinyl siding. If the decking is just dull looking and that is the reason you want to paint it I would try washing it with car wash soap with a stiff brush or powerwashing on a low setting (to much pressure will crack it). Your efforts and money might be better spent on a large cheerful matt to perkup the front porch and painting the uprights.Helpful Reply
