'On A Wire' Hanging Frames...

I love the fun way these frames are hung on a beaded wire.

You can also use this technique to create a more industrial look by using a thicker wire, larger clamps, combined with metal or natural wood beads.

Frame your photographs or quotes into a lightweight frame.

Make a loop in the wire and clamp.

Put beads on the wire.

Loop clamp as shown at bottom of wire through the eyelet screw which has been centred and screwed into top of frame.

Squash clamp to desired length.

Trim excess wire

Make sure each hanger is the same length on each picture.

Hang on wall.

As I live in an earthquake zone,

I always put a piece of bluetack between the picture frame and wall to keep straight.

This saves time by not having to straighten pictures constantly!

I hung a normal framed print for point of difference between the two bead & wire hung frames.

I hung a bunch of frames using your technique and want to do more but I cannot seem to find the wire I used and can't recall what type/size it was. What do you recommend?

I used strong jewelry makers grade wire which was only able to be cut with wire cutters. The wire needs to be thin enough to thread the beads. These pictures have hung on the wall for 4 years no problems.
