I made a pretty fall wreath -- out of our spring wreath, in 5 minutes! Click here! for the whole post on Dagmar's Home! This DIY project couldn't be easier!

And it only took 5 minutes. I had been using this wreath with pink flowers all spring and summer over our mantel in our cottage, and when I took it down to decorate for fall, I had the idea to "upcycle" this one instead of buying a new fall wreath for our door.

I'm always looking to be thrifty when it comes to decorating -- I firmly believe it doesn't have to cost much to have a beautiful home. You just have to be a bit clever and repurpose things :)
This is the final result: a pretty fall wreath with an interesting color combination. I'll show you how you can make the same.
The supplies: a wreath you already have, some fake flowers in orange, and some fake fall leaves.
I simply cut the flowers to size and wedged them in between the already existing wire around the wreath.
Then I added the leaves. I just pinned them under the other flowers, but you could use glue dots or a glue gun to secure them.
And voila - your new fall wreath!
Here it is on our front door.
