Ivylore on Sep 02, 2013Thanks! I wonder how it got to my garden, maybe in the garden soil I purchased? What a nice surprise. Reading about it, it makes a great houseplant, so I am going to pot it and keep inside since it would not survive our zone 5 climate outdoors.Helpful Reply

Marlene on Sep 02, 2013You're very welcome. I have one in a hanging basket. I have brought it in for the winter and then put it back out for the growing season. Makes a nice houseplant that will flower almost all the time if you feed it African violet fertilizer. Streptocarpella are cousins to African violets. They like bright sunlight but not the sun beating down on them. They scald and have burn marks if left out in full sun. Hope my info helps you to grow yourself a beautiful houseplant you can have for years to come.Helpful Reply

Helpful Reply
