Nick on Sep 11, 2016Unless you want to keep removing the stain you should figure out what is corroding in your water supply system that is producing this stain. I would start with the water heater. When was the last time that it was drained?Helpful Reply

Johnchip on Sep 11, 2016All the household pads and products may help the surface, but if the stain is in the porcelain, in the end, you will end up using muratic acid. But I agree, you should get to the source and see if it cannot be simply fix so it is not a constant maintenance issue.Helpful Reply

Oldglass Stuff on Sep 11, 2016If you can get it in NZ try a "Pumie" brand scouring stick. We get them here in California at our 99 cent Only store, but I've seen them online too at somewhat inflated prices.Helpful Reply

Nancy Chesser Beverly on Sep 11, 2016You can have the mineral content checked. You may have to put some type of particle filter on your water lines. You didn't mention if you have the stains in any other area. If it is just in the bath, you could check the connectors on those pipes. You may have to replace them. We are on a well and have iron deposits, so we are constantly fighting them...Helpful Reply
