Shower Repair

A client of mine had a shower installed in a basement some years ago. This work was done by his "housemate". While the tile work was well done, the shower pan install left a lot to be desired.
The pans drain was "directed" over a pre-existing cast iron cup drain in the floor. Fast forward a few years and hairs balls etc clog the cup drain. With out a continuous pipe "path" the line could not be snaked.
Demo required pulling some lower tile and the drain pan. Floor demo to remove the old cup drain, enlarge the hole to fit a p-trap then begin putting it all back together.
Moral of the story....do it right the first time.
