I've painted every room in my manufactured home with an undercoat of Kilz primer and a coat of Behr paint. It does take two coats for a good look.

Peppyfla has the right idea. Did this in my daughters manufactured home. I removed the strips that covered the seams. Filled with drywall patching compound. Primed with KILZ, then painted. Hers were ugly floral patterns.

Per my husband who used to remodel mobile homes. Sand the walls to rough them up so the paint has something to adhere to. Prime it and paint it. Little hands can pull the paint off. Best wishes.

I did the same, lightly sanded, primed with Kilz , then painted 2 coats. Worked fine.

Agree w all the above! ⬆️ I grew up in trailer too.Manard's sells NEW panels, printed patterns, simulated wood, screw them in, or glue w construction adhesive, thick too adds a bonus insulation?? To those thin walls.

I think you would be better with Zinnser 123primer. I think it bonds a little better than kilz. Sherwin Williams also makes one called gripper. The key to the paint job is getting the paint to bond to the vinyl.. Good luck
