How to keep humidity down in a home on a slab
-
Catherine Smith on Sep 07, 2013Our home is also on a slab, but we have window ac units. We've discovered by running them on dehumidify rather than the standard cool, they perform better, the house stays cool and the mold/mildew situation is greatly reduced. You also need to check for leaks or where water might be pooling that's creating an environment for those things.Helpful Reply

Irene jarosz on Sep 09, 2013I was told by HVAC guy to keep the fan on on the furnace. Also use a furnace filter that is accordion type for allergies. I do this in my 2 story with a basement and no longer need a dehumidifier.Helpful Reply
