New counter tops or do it yourself finishes???

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Sep 08, 2013If cash is tight, I would suggest to paint them for a least a short term improvement until you can afford to do them over with a stone product. It is apparent on this site from the many posts on this subject that the majority of those who did the paint route were pretty pleased with the results were and how well the tops are holding up. You can do a search on counter painting on the top of the page to direct you to all sorts of methods to use. I would steer as far away from pouring cement on top. This is not only heavy work to do, but there are several hard and dirty followup steps that you do not hear a lot about on the posts. If you have a short top perhaps with out a corner, you can purchase pre made post form tops in many colors for a fraction of building or covering it on your own. Hope this sheds out some light for you.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Sep 09, 2013Its all about the product and the attention to the details when following the application instructions. All the various products have their own system with top coats and finishing methods. If any one of them is not followed properly, then you could have an issue with the final result.Helpful Reply
