Did you guys plan out the garden or did you get help? I am so fearful of planting that it wont be right. Of course the deer are not helping. They eat just about everything I eat.

It's me, Karen. My husband and I thank you so much for all the wonderful replies we've gotten from you all. So many have asked identification of the flowers and shrubs that we have so here goes: first though the garden is larger than the photo - we had no help with the planning or layout - just searched at home depot, lowes, and pike nursery for different varieties that would bloom at different times so we constantly have beauty. The large green "shrub" at the top right is actually a ...»
transplanted knock out rose that my husband had to transplant because we had 4. They had gotten so big that they were crowding each other, so he dug up one to give to a neighbor, and then transplanted one to our garden. The rest are: winter lace lavender, arizona sun blanket flower, siskin clock dianthus, bee balms, echinacea ruby star coneflower, garden phlox, sweet broom, asiatic lily petite brigitte, golden fleece goldenrod, carolina jessamine, sunny border blue, veronica, wild horses daylily, frosty fire dianthus, happy returns daylily, mount grace la hybrid lily, little cadet daylily, ice star shasta daisy, white swan coneflower, bush daisy. I believe that's all in that garden. At night the garden takes on a different personality. We have solar lights, solar chimes, fire flies, and different types of garden "art". We even have different colored bowling balls sitting on top of rebar rods in the garden. Thank you again for all the replies. My husband loves the results of all of his hard work!!!!!

This is so beautiful, I wish we had a garden to landscape. However, this has inspired me to improve our concrete balconies!
