Did you know they have remote controlled tea lights? When I found them, I had to make something spooky.
You can order a dozen of them on amazon with a remote. I got the yellow flickering ones because I thought they looked spookier.
I upcycled some old pickle jars I've been saving and sprayed them with frosted glass spray paint.
When you first spray them, it will not look very frosted. But, after leaving them for a couple days to dry, they will look very nicely opaque.
I spray painted the lids black, but brown would look creepy, too.
I inserted a tea light into each jar. I used rubber spiders from the dollar store. It actually helps to just kind of throw them into the jar and let them land where they will, so that the jars don't look all the same.
Here's the finished look. On Halloween night, I put several of these jars out along the path of our sidewalk to the front door for trick or treaters. It adds a totally cool creepy factor to our whole decor for Halloween night.
If you'd like to see how to completely make these, head over to the blog!
