Anne Alexander on Sep 25, 2016Why not make this your Holiday shelf... Take each Holiday and make it the size that you need for each... If you don't want to spend a lot money just to try out start your hunt for Decorations at the Dollar Store...there are several stores and they have great decorations for cheap, cheap, and cheap...Helpful Reply

Sheri N on Sep 25, 2016I really like Anne Alexander's answer! Although I'd go a step further and in between the holidays I'd put something that has to do with spring, summer, fall and winter.Helpful Reply

Stella on Sep 26, 2016I agree with Anne and Sheri a Holiday Shelf. I decorate my Foyer table with the different holidays and seasons. You don't have to go overboard just groupings of three on each self. And give your shelf a fresh coat of paint to start out, maybe use a color that is in your house.Helpful Reply

Wanda.ll on Sep 26, 2016Use some silk plants. If you watch you can get some that look real. Also Silk Orchids plants would look good. If at my house I would so seasonal things and plants. there are so many holidays that owul work or just you color of your home. Look for things in shades of colors you like. Resale shop, dollar tree, goodwill , 99 cent stores. Look everywhere even in you cupboard. Nice bowls with fake fruit would work too.Helpful Reply

Elaine on Sep 29, 2016You can add many things: Artificial plants, a few interesting vases, a lovely bowl, old books stacked upright. The shelves look small but if you have room, lay some books flat then place an interesting object on top. The book adds some height for the item on top. Even an attractive rock found outside can look nice, place a (found) feather beside the book and you have a stylish vignette. If you wish to make it a spot for seasonal, place some pumpkins and mini corn on the shelves right now and then change into Christmas say, in November. The sky's the limit!Helpful Reply
