In what way is it mess? Can you use plastic containers for various things? Cans all on one shelf? Flour/sugar/coffee in canisters? Sort things by date so that you use the oldest first.

First you need to remove everything from your pantry. Check expiration dates and toss outdated items. Then put like items together in groups. This will help you to know what you have and better see how to arrange things in the pantry. Putting things like pasta, dry beans, rice, cereal, sugar, flour etc. in containers can make them neater and take up less space, plus if you use clear containers you can always see how much you have left. You can use baskets to hold chip bags. Keep your can goods grouped together such as all soups together, can beans together etc.

Empty pantry, clean shelves, purge or throw out open old packages. Get an assortment of jars, find some cute labels. I don't have a pantry but I remove doors off my cupboard. Top shelves food items I don't use often , middle shelve basket and vintage cannisters, flour, rice, basket holds loose stuff like cans of tuna. Bottom shelve holds my oatmeal, flaxseed, baking mix. Depends what sort of mess,as per other advisers, empty, check outdated goods, clean all areas thoroughly,if you have a lot of shelves and absolutely cannot do without them then put in sections,eg:cans use more than any others, baking things eg: coconut, jelly etc, jars can contain pasta, other powders, baking soda etc...now if you want a change can install a layered lazy Susie,i think there are instructions how to do on this site and also pinterest

It is not messy, just unorganized. Are the things in your pantry things you use all the time? Sort out your spices, and oils. make sure they are marked. Also start collecting containers for storage that fit your needs. Stackable clear storage is a lifesaver. Re-cycled jars are a great and cheap way to store things. If you have items bought in bulk make a space at the bottom of pantry. Look for small storage racks to mount on the side walls to hold small items. Use zippered laundry bags to store potatoes and onions. These can be hung on the wall to save shelf space. Keep remembering it is a work in progress. Once you start working on it you will enjoy making something designed and created by you. Send us a before and after pictures. Create pretty labels. enjoy,
