Glass in the Garden - Add Some Sparkle...

Using glass in your garden can bring a dull border to life, add some dazzle and depth, and it's fun. I've got lots of glass things, either crafts made from plates or recycled dishes, or just funky items used in a vignette along with some other things for a rustic look.
Here are some things I look for when junquing - find these in thrift stores, recycle centers, garage sales;
Glass fish tanks are a good option for displaying succulents - just make sure not to overwater! http://www.drought-smart-plants.com/succulents-in-a-glass-fish-tank.html

Easy to make, and spectacular at night - a glass vase, and a bowl upside down over it hides the solar light, while allowing it enough light to charge the batteries. http://www.bluefoxfarm.com/mushroom--solar-lights.html
Glass crystal from a broken chandelier makes the perfect water droplet on the end of a rain chain...
Old dishes and plates make great garden totems...http://www.bluefoxfarm.com/garden-totems.html

    Thanks for that added explanation. I'll get some of those, but I will try just using the ones I have stuck in the ground now. I'll turn a vase upside down and put a saucer on top and see if the photocell will charge. For sure I'm going to make some for my garden.

      @MaryAnn B That should work if the saucer is clear - the bowl on top of the mushroom is opaque, so it still lets light through but it's not clear.

    I have some clear soup bowls to use. I'll let you know.

      @MaryAnn B Those will be awesome! A group of smaller mushrooms, clustering around a bigger one...I can see it now!
