The Garden Frog with C Renee on Sep 18, 2013KMS Woodworks has a great point. What kind of bugs are you dealing with? In the pantry and cupboards could be coming from old food stuff~ such as larvae that is in our dry food products. Flour and many dry products have eggs, larvae, and bugs in them. I know, it is gross to think about it but it is true. That is why you freeze many items for a few days to kill the eggs. I stick my flour and other baking products in the freezer for a few days to kill anything. If you do this, then you have to wait a day or two to use the product in baking. Always seal your food in containers or invest in a vacuum seal machine. I have had one since they hit the market years ago (have "burnt up several) but it is the best investment to seal bags of chips, cereal, and vacuum seal meat to freeze. Now if you have roaches, then you have to take a different approach. You first need to rid of any food source. Do not let dirty dishes sit out~that is a buffet for them. You need to use plastic totes, bins for storage not boxes which have glue that roaches can live off for months! You will most likely have to 'bomb' the house and then again a couple weeks later if you are doing it yourself. then you can get diatomaceous earth or borax and make a perimeter around the edges of the cabinets inside and any cracks you may find. Unfortunately bugs are getting used to pesticides and so you may have to put your home on a regular bug schedule. If you live in an apartment or condo, you may have to find out when your neighbors do it so you can do it at the same time otherwise the bugs just migrate from one place to another. Good luck.!Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Sep 19, 2013I would take a very close look at all of your wall to floor corners, and caulk any openings, Also check your weather strip on the exterior doors...roaches can squeeze trough some pretty small holesHelpful Reply

Martha R on Sep 19, 2013I have tried everything but a sweet Black lady at the Flea Market told me what truly works. That is Combat Gel. You don't need to use much. Put it under all your sinks and around doors. The stuff is black and that's the only thing I don't like about it. It does kill all kind of bugs.Helpful Reply
