Deborah on Mar 31, 2011I'm not sure how far you are from Pittsboro, but if you are traveling towards Pittsboro on US 64 there's a place about 5 miles before you get there on the left called "Paynes Stained Glass". You can look them up on Facebook. Th couple is from England and import old stained glass windows - used to advertise in the Raleigh paper "over 10,000". I've never seen so many - different sizes and shapes. You could possibly find something there with the right design on it - they're not very expensive - and use it for the inlay. Just a thought.Helpful Reply

Larry on Apr 01, 2011THANKS, I WILL CHECK IT OUT. I WISH TO INSTALL THE INLAY IN WOOD PORCH FLOOR AT FRONT ENTRANCE WITH LIGHT UNDER IT. STRENGHT, DURABILITY, AND SAFETY(SLIPPERY) ARE ISSUES. BUT, IT WOULD BE UNIQUE AND INVITING. SOMEONE SUGGESTED 1/2" THICK PLEXIGLASS OVER GLASS BUT THAT STILL DOES NOT SOLVE SLIPPERY ISSUE. THERE HAS TO BE A WAYHelpful Reply

Deborah on Apr 01, 2011I hope you will check it out. I know they now travel to some antique shows, but the store is open. And I hope their traveling to these shows hasn't diminished the selection they have at the store. I hope you find something you like, I bought two windows to put on either end of a very large opening between the kitchen & living area of my former townhome. One of the touches that made my home unique. I need to figure out a place for windows in my new ('85) home in Zebulon. PS, I just went on their website & they announced they just got in a shipment of 1500 windows. Think I'll have to take a drive tomorrow!Helpful Reply

Elaine G on Aug 13, 2011I know nothing except to talk to the guys in the building at the state fair grounds who make and sell stained glass. They know it all. Soon they will be gone for the fair....Helpful Reply
