Diy Kid's Desk / the How To
by

My son has been asking for a desk in his room for some time, but with limited space we needed it to be small, yet functional. Our other main goal was to not spend a lot of $. So with several DIYs we were able to create him a desk space that fit both his room and our budget. Follow the link to see how we built and accessorized this desk.

Z on Sep 19, 2013What an excellent idea Becky. It can double as a night table too. I have a little fold down desk/shelf I used to have in our laundry room. I just noticed it in the basement the other day and thought that I needed to find a place for it. Now I know where it's going. In our grandson's room! He'll love having his own desk for his tablet and coloring. Though he's usually in here using my drafting table he does like being alone sometimes. Thanks so much for the great idea!

Z on Sep 19, 2013You're welcome @Becky. My grandson just asked me yesterday if he could have an alarm clock to wake himself up so I wouldn't have to on days' his Daddy goes into work early. I have his Dad's old alarm around here somewhere that I'm going to give him once I get this installed in his room.
