my cabinets are dark with a redish tone my floor is light brown wood stove disher white wall are brick wall paper not much walls to see

    What is the opposite on the color wheel, of the red-brown cabinets? Maybe blue is what you want.

      @Marlene if your going opposite on the color wheel from the red tones, it would be green. Orange and blue are complimentary colors. Very good idea in using complementary colors though.

    I meant you could either use blue, or opposite of color wheel. Maybe you have too much drab, and need some fresh color.

    hard to say with out a pic but what color do you have in the rest of the house might help if you want the same in the kitchen maybe something that you have in the living room might look good!!!!!!
  • Chalk paint's Duck Egg Blue is a nice option with perhaps a dark wax over the top to bring in the depth of your darker wood cabinetry. Pictures are needed to get a total feel for the room and what would work.
