Sweater Pumpkins With Vintage Lace

I inherited a large box of handmade vintage lace and doillies. I have been searching on Hometalk and Pinterest to find ways to use them. I saw the sweater pumpkins in many of the posts and I had an old sweater just sitting on the shelf (it was green but I thought it would work). I decided to jump in and make a couple of them and use the lace for decorating the top. I'm not sure if I like them, but hey, I used up some of the lace (even though it was only a smidgeon of what I have). If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
I cut off the sweater sleeve and tied one end with a rubber band. The other end I basted all the way around. I filled it with fiberfill and put beans in the bottom for weight. I then tightened the basting thread to close the bottom.
I used twine to make indentations in the sides and cover the stem. I then glued the lace around the base of the stem.
