Positive Solutions Inc. on Sep 23, 2013yes as long as the tile is in good shape, meaning no grout lines coming up and all is stable, and don't forget to put a good thermal under layment down! but i would use a 3/8 wood flooring.Helpful Reply

LandlightS on Sep 23, 2013You can use either laminate flooring or the new engineered wood floors that "float". I would strongly suggest the engineered wood......nothing like the real goods.Helpful Reply

Margaret Swanton on Sep 24, 2013I agree with @Positive Solutions Inc. , you can add laminate over the tiles but it is best to insulate it first. Laminate will add a little protection from the cold but with proper insulation, you will be in much better control of the room temperature.Helpful Reply
