Best way to cut chip or particle board furniture so it won't chip off?

A cabinet is too tall to stand up unless i cut off the bottom pieces . It's laminated particle board (the tiny chips kind). I think if some kind of tape is applied it helps it not to chip or break off, but what kind of tape & what kind of saw to use? Thanks & blessings!

A sharp High Tooth count table saw blade is the best....It is what I use when building with melamine coated PB. This would be easy if you are cutting "sheets" once the cabinet is built your option are not as plentiful. A circular saw would be the next best thing, keep in mind a circular saw will chip out the "top" side wher ethe saw is as the blade spins upward. a fine tooth jig saw will not leave much "chip out" but is tough to get a straight cut.
