Change the glass in a window
-
Kim H on Sep 23, 2013Can you replace the glass in a grid system with a single pane? I have old wooden windows with 12 panes of glass between grids, I would love to have the grids removed from the frame and a single glass pane installed. Does any one know if that can be done?Helpful Reply

Pat Dollar on Sep 25, 2013Without experience in installing glass into a window it would be best to hire a glass shop to do the work. A glass pane can be cut to any size. You can measure the window opening first to get a quote for the project for the new pane and install. They would remove the glazing around the outside of your existing grid window and then the new single pane would then be installed and re-glazed.Helpful Reply
