Babykitty demonstrating how good water is from the fountain. I have 3 water features running in the summer and keep this fountain running until January. Soon to add a 4th. My 2 dogs and 2 cats plus whatever wildlife wanders in the yard drink from the ponds and fountains.

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Sep 24, 2013The pump is actually bolted onto a concrete stepping stone that I drilled a hole through for the hose from the pump in the small pond below up through pump and out the spout. Pumps use minimal electricity and should run 24/7. My yard does not adequate sunlight to provide a pump to run without interruption, darnit. You are lucky if you have a full sun area. My cats do not bother the goldfish when I had them. Have fun building your pond.

Daniel Starrett on Sep 24, 2013Thanks Renee. My cats will be indoor animals, but there are a lot of wild cats in the neighborhood and they would definitely see that as my providing them a free smorgasborg lol.
