Hutch Makeover

My taste has changed and been a bit refined since I first started painting furniture. I took one of my first pieces (that reminds me of a Dr. Seuss book) and repainted it into a classic piece.

Hi Erica, That looks lovely, I am inspired, as I am debating what colour to paint a bookcase and I was thinking white, but maybe black would look pretty good, thank you for the post.

@Michelle W I am now painting bookshelf and table and using very deep red. It was too bright so instead of repainting, I used dark stain. Now it has depth of color and has nice rich color instead of an old fire engine look. Looks good so far; once it's out of the workshop and I can show pics I'll post. Just little big more work .

Great job, remarkable patience. Looks like very expensive piece. And, if you bought this new, most likely would be fake wood where painted unless you paid over a grand. Reminds people of need to look at what's under the paint. Most people would see neon and run.
