S137 on Sep 25, 2013Have you tried Safer Insect Killing Soap? It is organic and uses "the power of potassium salts of fatty acids (insecticidal soap). The potassium salts weaken the insect's waxy protective outer shell."Helpful Reply

Mary Braid on Sep 25, 2013Thank you for your response; however, what I'm looking for is a systemic product. Therefore, I only treat once. When plants are left outside not only do they get leaf bugs but there are bugs that will be in the dirt. One year I brought them in & when I transplanted to larger pots in the spring I found I had winteed over other critters that like living in dirt. I then found out going forward I need to treat systemicly. With systemic products the plant will absorb the product & when the insects eat either the leaves or roots they will be distroyed. Wish there was enough in life for the plants, insects, & me....Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Sep 26, 2013I don't use systemic insecticides, but I suggest you try these steps from Clemson University: http://www.clemson.edu/extension/hgic/plants/indoor/care/hgic1454.htmlHelpful Reply

Ann W on Sep 27, 2013I just used Bayers systemic crystals from Lowes on my African violet collection --because they can't be sprayed and it got rid of little flys almost like fruit flys that were buzzing around them---the plants are doing well and no more little bugs---think the container says it was for roses and also has fertilizer in it---cost $10 will alst me my lifetime but the bugs are gone on my sunporch1 marked as helpful Reply

Mary Braid on Sep 27, 2013@Ann W, was that the one you also use on roses? Is it the 3 in 1 or the 2 in 1? I'm having a problem with finding the 3 in 1 in my area. I think it gets sold out before I have a chance to get any. OR is there on specifically for house plants. Thank you for your suggestion..Helpful Reply

Linda B. on Sep 27, 2013Insecticidal soap is all that I use - one part dish soap (not detergent) to 20 parts water. Stand the pots in the bath tub and spray top and undersides of leaves. Leave 20 mins and rinse off.Helpful Reply
