KMS Woodworks on Sep 26, 2013hit the hardware store and pick up a small tin of the "white ring remover" http://www.kitchenandcompany.com/Storage-And-Cleaning/Polishes-And-Cleaners/Wood-Cleaners/_/Fox-run-White-Ring-Spot-Remover?tc=gfs13&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=Fox%20Run%20White%20Ring%20Spot%20Remover&gclid=COrm8Jek6bkCFS3hQgodyD0AYA this "old craftsman brand" is great but there are other that work just as well.Helpful Reply

Valeria Kenny on Sep 28, 2013Thank you KMS- the water took the color finish right off the table. I wish I'd taken a photo... I am wondering if there is a finish you wipe on- like shoe polish but for furniture.Helpful Reply

MichaelJ on Sep 28, 2013I have a very old cedar chest that gets water marked from occasional over spray or drip from a spathaphylum. I use a Beeswax and orange oil mix called Feed-N-Wax made by Howard Products. It protects the surface and the water marks pretty much disappear.Helpful Reply

Joy Chapman on Sep 28, 2013I have heard white toothpaste or mayo. I haven't tried it though so I am not sure. I don't think it would hurt to try as long as you didn't leave it on there but a sec. or 2Helpful Reply

Darci Weber Salinas on Jul 13, 2015If it's a white ring from the moisture, put some Vaseline (petroleum jelly) on it and let sit for a couple of hours, then wipe off with a soft cloth. If you have taken the finish off down to bare wood, then short of refinishing you can try one of those cover crayons. They won't make it look like new, but it should help a lot. They also have wax in them to help with the shine.Helpful Reply
