Hi Barbara, Thank you for watching,, I'm paintng on canvas on most of my video's but this one is just construction paper, but use a canvas for better results, or watercolor paper, acrylic paper, or canvas paper, any paper that is stiff and will hold the paint, I love acrylic painting, but if you oil paint you can paint over acrylic paint when it's dry with oil paint, but not the other way around, you can go to my youtube channel for more vidoe's, http://www.youtube.com/allisonprior I hope that helps..
