Tierney Ckark on Oct 01, 2013I love Tilex as well. But I might suggest replacing the wax seal under the toilet. Sometimes when they get old they start to leak, and no matter how often you clean, it will seep right back out. It's not a complicated task but requires some heavy lifting.Helpful Reply

Lyman Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling on Oct 01, 2013try the vinegar if it continues and the toilet is not dirty and you have just scrubbed the floor and walls then the problem is deeper in the grout or in the subfloor. let the vinegar soak into the grout to try and neutralize the smell. If that does not solve it you will definitely have to remove the toilet and check into the source of the problem.Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Oct 01, 2013Many people do not know this but wax rings on your toilet need to be replaced every 3-5 years unless you have the very expensive ones. Leaking around the toilet down to the sub floor causes odor and there are no products short of lifting the toilet up to check for leaks and put a new wax ring and crawl under bathroom to check floor underneath. This may be a very important thing for you to do~check under the toilet for rotted wood~rotted wood will smell. Take a screw driver with you and poke at the floor under neath the toilet under the house and if the screw driver even penetrates the wood you need to inspect further! Odors have a source and should never be covered up until you find the source! Good luck.Helpful Reply
