Want to create one of a kind fabric designs with an organic feel? Ice dyeing is SO much easier than even shibori or tie dyeing and the result is an exciting surprise. It's a fun DIY project for kids and adults alike.
I sewed my ice dyed fabric into a gorgeous set on pillows:

Gathering the right supplies is key to making this projects a success. Here's all of the info on that:
Essentially, you soak the fabric in soda ash so the fiber reactive dye will adhere. Then you scrunch it up as messily and randomly as possible in a tub on some cookies sheets so it's sitting higher than the bottom of the tub.
Cover the fabric in ice and then sprinkle on the fiber reactive powdered dye. Let the ice melt and watch the dye work its magic!
I have used this method to ice dye white cotton napkins (which is where the steps, above, are from):
I also dyed a couple of yards of linen, which turned out even more amazing.

These ice-dyed colors are GORGEOUS!!❄❄ The resulting patterns on fabric are simply stunning, & quite unique to the process... reminds me of a solid tie-dye but more beautiful & sophisticated in depth & design! 👍👍 (Have you thought of FRAMING a couple of your faves as wall ART??) I LOVE THIS, & must try it... hoping it's as easy as you make it sound! ❤💙💚💜💖🖤💛❤
CONGRATS!!😘💕🎉🎉
