KMS Woodworks on Oct 02, 2013Saddle valves are one of the worst inventions ever...the get used by lazy plumbers who want an easy way out. I would cut in a proper tee and install a regular control valve with a 1/4 compression outlet. If you have a hard time getting a 1/4 valve a 3/8" compression valve can be installed with an adapter.Helpful Reply

Lornnknaus on Oct 08, 2013Yes Carol as KMS said cut in a 3/4" to 1/4" T, get the Shark type fittings (User Friendly) they can be as simple as cut, clean and push on, and they have the right product for cutting into existing systems, Good LuckHelpful Reply
