I get spots on our cloths using the front loader washing machine???

Karen Hart on Oct 01, 2013I have a high effficiency top loader and I had the same problem. Mine was due to the type of laundry soap I was using. Even though it said good for HE washers, there is a difference between products. I switched from Purex to Walmart brand and no more spots.Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Oct 01, 2013I am not wondering if you need to wash the washer? Run it on a clean cycle if yours has it or run it on hot with your choice of cleaners~borax (about a 1/4 cup) or bleach or a cup of white vinegar. I add 1/4 cup borax to really dirty clothes to take away grime in my washer downstairs which is a top loader and the clothes come out cleaner. Borax is a staple you should have for laundry and even cleaning. I have never had spots and I have had front loaders for 15 years. I have never had a problem with any name brand detergents but have had problems with store brands so I stay away from them. Make sure the detergents say for HE because the sudsing formulas are different and you could have a build up in your washer. So I would run it to clean it~maybe even a couple times? Good luckHelpful Reply
