Wooden pallet bed frame
-
Caryn Moy on Oct 18, 2016My ex had built us a platform bed for a futon. Keep in mind that you may need to take it apart at some point in the future. For the slats that goes under the mattress, we strips of nylon belting and ran two row down both sides so it would not shift around, would be evenly spaced and could rolled up if it needed to be disassembled. I love the bed in the picture! I've always wanted to make that one for myself! Though, a short cut, if you can find some, are the drawers that went under waterbeds! Check Craigslist for people getting rid of theirs, you may be able to get the for free! Those crates are about $10x8=a heck of a lot of money that could be better spent elsewhere!!!Helpful Reply

Louise James on Oct 18, 2016We used pallets to make a picket fence and found that no matter how careful you are, you will get some boards that break when you take the pallet apart -just plan ahead and pick up an extra pallet or twoHelpful Reply

Deanna Nassar on Oct 18, 2016From the looks of it. You will need some sanding. I'm wondering if any of the sides could become drawers.Helpful Reply

Bev Everett Landgren on Oct 19, 2016A sawzall is a must for taking apart for sure. And of course safety glasses. I have built a patio, out door tables and chairs from pallets. It was so satisfying to re-use materials. Have fun!Helpful Reply
