Refinished Old Stained, Scratched Outdated Desk.

I refinished an old, stained and scratched desk and re purposed it to become my makeup vanity. I cut out photos of women I admire from magazines, then decoupaged them onto the top. If I get tired of them, I can remove them or paint over them and do something different. I used an American Accents Distressed Ivory kit that I had purchased a few years ago and had forgotten about. I first sanded the desk for a smooth surface. Then painted on the base coat. Final antiquing coat applied. Then added pictures for decoupaged top. It was quite a time consuming job, but worth it!
