How to prevent lamps from blowing over?

Is there a way to prevent lamps from blowing over on a screened in porch?

    Depending on the size of your lamp you could paint a bucket with a spray paint, load some rocks or sand in it. I have done this with 3 outdoor 4 ft. candle holders and they were out in a terrible storm we had a couple of weeks ago. They are still standing. If your pot has drain holes, cover with gardening cloth....the rain will drain...Oh I think you said it was a screened in porch. Never mind about the garden cloth (Home Depot) unless you are using sand. Hope this starts you on the path of success. Beverly

    If you won't harm what it's sitting on, purchase some 3 M industrial double faced tape - it's red. simply attach to bottom of lamp and "glue" to table.

    find a shallow container ( like a pie tin?) about the size of the base, (aluminum throw away ones are best) then pour plaster of paris or cement in it, settle the base into it, let dry and wala! weighted base
